Okay, 5 more hours to finish the rest of the bottom, fin and rails. I decided the fin stays put but will get mildly reshaped.  Overall the board is still really nice but the original overlap on the rails was filled with way too much sanding resin. I am working it down and have lightened the board probably 3 lbs now. There was a lot of resin left in the sanding coat witch turned out to be a blessing because the pigment was like boilerplate and really hard to get off. I am up in the air over using cavisil or going with an old school approach, cut out and replace the one big ding in the rail with a chunk of new foam.
