The board is done at last. The one bad ding was fixed
with a foam replacement. The minor ding was fixed with caviseal and
fiberglassed over. There was a few little pukas and I gouged them and
filled them with caviseal and glassed over them also. I also sanded the
fin down to the original fiberglass which I found out was made with a
chopper gun and you could actually see the long glass fibers in it. I
laid up two layers on each side of just the fin with blue pigment and
then two clear layers for the sides of the fin to hold it on the board
because I had sanded off some of the original lay-up. Rich told me
150# grit for the final sanding before he glossed it. I picked it up
Memorial Day from Rich and it is looking real fine.
